Four Healing Women in Boise

I’ve lived in Boise for a year now.  It was a fabulous lifestyle decision, although moving to another state was harder than I realized it would be.  I have met four amazing women who are healers and have been immensely helpful to me with this transition and whether you live in the Boise area or not they are worth knowing about.

Jacq Crawford of Boise Tonic Company.  One Saturday I was at the Boise Co-op looking for a good eye cream that didn’t break the bank and there was Jacq’s eye cream smiling back at me.  Beyond reasonably priced compared to most eye creams with wonderful ingredients and in a beautiful glass container I purchased it.

After getting home and putting some on I realized that Jacq had a special talent.  If you go on her site there is almost a product for every need – eye, face and body creams, healing tonics for colds and immunity, men’s products, and new mom’s products – she has it all. She grows all her own herbs, only uses essential oils (no fake fragrances), grass-fed tallow, and shea butter.  She is beyond educated in herbs, and product formulations in a way I have not seen or experienced before.  Get on her site and treat yourself – you won’t be disappointed.

Amber Drake of Healer’s Method. When we first considered moving to Boise, I realized my old preceptor from college Elaine lived here. She kept telling me about her masseuse Amber and I kept politely declining as massage always felt like a waste to me.

After her insistence I finally got a massage with Amber.  Amber is not really a masseur but rather an extremely skilled body worker.  Jeffrey calls her “muscle woman.”  She is beyond talented at working out muscle tension that is stubborn and creating calmness in your body that lasts a few weeks versus a regular massage that might last a few hours.

Paula Kosberg, DPT. At many of my conferences a frequent topic is Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM) which utilizes a machine that can be used with various frequencies to heal orthopedic and medical challenges.

After I’d heard about it a few times I looked up practitioners in Boise and found Paula.  Paula takes the best of traditional physical therapy and interweaves it with other modalities including FSM to create healing currents in your body.  She creates an individualized program for your specific needs and besides being extremely talented she’s a genuine healer.

Kelly Lee – Kelly is a Chinese Medicine energy healer.  I was introduced to a book she wrote on the gallbladder and liver which is a difficult topic and knew then I had to meet her. When you see a therapist and work psychologically on your past you may not realize the energy of that memory can remain dormant in your body for many years.

Kelly combines tuning forks, essential oils, massage, sounds, and meditation to work on whatever you bring to the session.  She has different lengths of sessions, and a 2-hour session can start to clear out a lot of your past. I was very surprised how much I have done with her in just a few sessions.  If you feel like there are some stubborn memories that get in the way of your health and healing OR that something is missing that is holding you back, a session with Kelly is in order.

There you have it – healing energy, vibrational healing, body work and lovely homegrown products to pamper yourself and provide some comfort and peace for a lasting healthy lifestyle. Creating a team of people to help you along your journey of health and happiness is essential and I am blessed to discover these amazing women!
