Healthy Fall Finds for 2023 and Beyond
Given that many products on the market have toxins or ingredients that highjack your system how do you find things which actually enhance your health and well-being?
Here are a few of my recent finds which assist with helping your immune system, and a few to help support your liver and detox channels as well.
Air Diffuser – this air diffuser is a great way to use organic essential oils and keep them circulating around your home to help with breathing and aromatherapy. We keep eucalyptus, sage, orange, and peppermint on hand and rotate each day.
Wool Pillows – good sleep is essential and sleeping on synthetic substances can affect sinuses, breathing and sleep quality. These wool pillows are affordable and comfortable.
Mélange Perfume – with respect to perfumes even natural “fragrances” can hijack your system so using only ones that use true essential oils, are alcohol free and in a good oil base (coconut or other) are important. I found this one at a specialty shop and haven’t looked back. They even sell samples so you can try different ones to decide what to invest in and they are very economical.
Andreas seed oils – in general you want to avoid most oils besides olive, but Andrea’s has specialized oils which contribute to your health, are heat stable and full of nutrients. The two I recommend are the Black Cumin and Black Sesame Seed oil.
Travel Cup – Since the cups you get your “to-go” coffees in are full of toxins/plastics, etc. I was on the hunt for one that I could take with me for my to-go teas. This is a bit smaller than I would like but is BPA free, sturdy and works for travel.
Vital Earth Minerals – this blend is a combination of Fulvic and Humic acid which help with removal of harmful pollutants from the body, and assist with gut health and metabolism. We call it “liquid dirt” at our house since it is the color of dirt but just tastes like water.
Liver Vitality Greens by Anima Mundi – I found this powder at a homeopathy pharmacy in Boise. It is mixture of wonderful supports for the liver – dandelion, milk thistle, chlorella, and spirulina. The best way to drink is a scoop in sparking water. A few clients do not like the “green” taste so mixing in a smoothie is a great idea if you are in that camp.
Windrift Rain Body Butter – one of my clients introduced me to this line of products. Their soaps are great, but my favorite is the Body Butter – soothes your hands and makes them feel like baby’s skin – I use on a daily basis.
So there you have it – some great ways to help your home smell nice, pillows to sleep on, natural perfumes, healthy oils to cook with, a detox powder and liquid and a wonderful body butter to soothe your skin – all a good way to fall into winter!
