Giving Gratitude
One of the things I love about Thanksgiving is almost all cultures in America celebrate it – whether you are Christian, Jewish, or other this is one holiday we can all embrace and celebrate our blessings.
This morning as I was leaving the gym and driving along the ocean before going home I realized how much I have to be thankful for – being alive, a place to lay my head, wonderful friends, family, clients and my zeal for healthy living and clean food.
My family had two traditions on Thanksgiving day: watching the Macy’s Day Parade and going around the table after our meal and saying a sentence or two what we had to be thankful for – a grateful list.
Focus on gratitude takes our mind off our problems and gives a healthful boost to your brain, your body and your metabolism.
What are you grateful for this holiday season? I am grateful to all of you, my faithful readers who follow me and my own journey to health and happiness. I welcome your comments and feedback for new topics in this holiday season and the coming year of what you need to know and hear.
Happy Thanksgiving!
