I am a firm believer in fish oil (I take the capsules) and flax seed. After about 8 months of taking both — I sprinkle the toasted, milled flaxseed with dried blueberries from Trader Joe’s on my yogurt every morning — I have noticed that my skin positively GLOWS. I’m no spring chicken — 38 — and have had mild acne for most of my life, but now my skin is nicer than it every has been. I have to say that I also tend to be "surprised" by my period now because I don’t experience the same PMS irritability or acne in the week leading up to it. As far as I’m concerned, they are such "miracle" cures (both easy & side-effect free) that it’s crazy NOT to take them.

Science shows the benefits of fish oil with omega 3 only ends when you do. In other words, Omega 3 oils with EPA and DHA can contribute to better health your whole life long – from birth to death.

Can you tell me how much flax seed you take? My hormonal migraines were under control for about the last ten months since I started taking a low-dose birth control pill. But this month has been a true roller coaster ride. I'm not sure what I'm doing differently. I did start taking a vegan Omega 3/ DHA/EPA supplement about six weeks ago, which you would think would have helped the issue even more, but that is the only change that I can think of. Any thoughts would be appreciated, and the flax dosage question. Thanks!

I would take at least 1 tbsp of ground flax seed and a fish oil dosage of at least 1000 mg. EACH of DHA/EPA. I personally feel the birth control pills contribute to the migraines.
