What are your Burning Nutritional Questions and Issues?

I know I have many readers out there - I just want to hear what you have to say.  I blog about whatever I am reading about or the burning questions I hear my clients asking me on a regular basis....BUT I want to hear from my readers.

What are you interested in hearing about?  What personal nutritional questions have I not addressed? I am officially opening the forum for what you want this summer's blogs to address.  If I don't hear anything I will continue with what I am doing, but I want to be in touch with what you need so ask away.  The sky's the limit (in terms of health and nutrition questions).

Is Stevia safer than Splenda and Equal? If I eat my flax seeds and salmon, do I still need to take my fish oil capsules? Should I limit the number of times per week that I eat fish for fear of too much mercury? Can you recommend any good brands of whole grain or multi grain bread?

Love the blog, Susan. Just got back from Greece and noticed that the locals are as passionate about breads, rice, pasta and potatoes as we are, if not more so. Not to mention that there's plenty of archeological evidence that the Greeks have been eating these specific foods routinely for over 5000 years. Then there's the issue of potatoes and rice, which can be eaten without much processing. To be fair, I did notice that a lot of Greeks are obese. Still, your recommendations that these foods should be minimized if not eliminated from a normal diet goes against all that history. It would be great if you could tackle the issue of what is nutritionally best versus eons of passion for these four specific foods. Thanks

Thank you Lisa and Ray! Great post ideas which I will work on. I still think fish oil/ground flax seed is necessary even when eating fish since it is hard to get as much DHA and EPA as you need unless you are eating Salmon every day and large amounts of other foods high in ALA to replace the ground flax seed. If you eat wild fish with limited farmed fish mercury should not be a problem It is always good to check the Monterey Bay Aquarium website to see what their recommendations are.

For the carb question Ray I will write a whole blog on that since I think it is very appropriate so thanks for the idea and keep looking for that one. Stay tuned!
